Psychological
thrillers started with a quite predictable story line with a strange person. There
is also suspicious activity happening throughout. These movies all began in black and white as
well as being silent films, and quite simple not too many special effects. However
in 1970 we started to see psychological develop the film started to show in
colour. The story lines also started to develop into something which was less
predictable. In the 1980s the started to tamper with the story lines and in
the 90s they started to break the female victim stereotypes. Since then the
visual effects have improved
|
In the
future I believe that psychological thrillers will start to use animals and
more paranormal activity. I believe they may also bring the idea of robots
and aliens. I also believe in the future they may go back in some sense as
they may start filming in black and white to add to the psychological effect.
They may start using more advanced gadgets to add to the mind games segment
of psychological thrillers.
